Program Description
This program is designed for high school and undergraduate students to have opportunities to:
- Get a feel for what it is like to be in a hospital setting
- Observe medical professionals and their interactions with patients
- Gain experience in the medical field
- Interact with patients and learn about their needs
- Give back and make a difference
Students are eligible for this program if:
- At least 14 years old or an undergraduate student
- Volunteer at least one, 3-4 hour shift per week (based on the student's schedule and available volunteer positions)
- Attend every week (with the exception of illness, a school commitment, or similar)
- Participate in the entire program - from start to finish.
(Exception: College students that live away from Rochester for their winter break between semesters.)
